AI Coding Agent Orchestrator for Windows: Run Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode Together

Windows has plenty of coding agents but few orchestrators built for it. Foxpit is the desktop option that runs Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode in one window on Windows 10/11; Vibe Kanban and Crystal have Windows builds, but one is sunsetting and the other is deprecated.

Why several agents on Windows gets hard

One agent in one terminal is easy. Three agents on three projects is where it breaks down, and the problems are the same on every platform:

  • Too many terminal tabs. You lose track of which tab is which project, which agent is waiting and which one finished ten minutes ago.
  • Permission requests you never see. An agent stops and waits for approval, but the prompt is in a tab you are not looking at. The agent looks busy and does nothing.
  • Agents overwriting each other. Two agents editing the same folder at the same time will step on each other's files or commits. Without isolation, "parallel" means "conflicting".

Windows adds one more wrinkle: some terminal-first tools assume a Unix environment. Claude Squad, for example, installs through Homebrew or a bash script and lists tmux and gh as prerequisites, so your setup depends on what you already have installed.

Windows options at a glance

These are the five tools covered in our comparison, with what their own pages say about Windows as of 23 October 2026. Where a page does not list Windows, this table says so instead of guessing.

ToolWindows supportInterfaceAgentsState
FoxpitWindows 10/11 (x64) build; Node.js not requiredDesktop app with a grid of up to four real agent terminalsClaude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, Google Antigravity, built-in Foxpit engineActive

Claude SquadOS not stated; installs through Homebrew or a bash script, needs tmux and ghTerminal TUIClaude Code, Codex, Gemini, Aider, OpenCode, AmpActive

CrystalWindows build; "Windows build requirements" were added in 0.3.4Desktop appClaude Code, CodexDeprecated in February 2026

The practical reading: Foxpit is the only one in this list that is both actively maintained and explicit about a Windows build. Vibe Kanban publishes a Windows installer, but the project is sunsetting and is now community maintained. Crystal also runs on Windows but will not be updated. Conductor's site describes it as a Mac app, and Claude Squad's pages do not list supported operating systems.

How to install Foxpit on Windows

  1. Download the Windows build. Foxpit ships a Windows 10/11 (x64) desktop app; Node.js is not required. Get it from Getting Started.
  2. Run the installer and pass the warning once. The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows shows a warning once: More info → Run anyway. The details are in Getting Started.
  3. Connect the agents you already use. Foxpit drives Claude Code, Codex CLI and OpenCode, plus Google Antigravity or its built-in engine. It uses your own subscriptions or API keys, and your code stays on your computer.
  4. Add a project as a room. Each project gets a room with its own team. Turn on optional per-agent Git worktrees so parallel agents do not overwrite each other's files.
  5. Give each seat a job. A seat can run a different agent and model, so Fox can plan on Claude Code while a teammate runs Codex and another runs OpenCode. Approval requests arrive as desktop notifications instead of hiding in a tab.

Tip: Turn on per-agent worktrees before you start a second agent on the same repository. It is the difference between two agents working in parallel and two agents fighting over the same files.

Frequently asked questions

Can I run Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode at the same time on Windows?

Yes. They are separate command-line agents, so each one can run in its own terminal. Foxpit puts up to four real agent terminals side by side on Windows, and each seat can run a different agent and model, with a marker for active, waiting or done.

Does Foxpit need Node.js on Windows?

No. Foxpit ships as a Windows 10/11 (x64) desktop app and Node.js is not required. You still need the agent CLIs you want to use, such as Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode, plus your own subscriptions or API keys.

Why does Windows warn when I install Foxpit?

The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows shows a SmartScreen warning once. Choose More info, then Run anyway. After that first launch the app opens normally.

Run Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode in one window.
